Already 1948 Oldsmobile had introduced the new post-war styling named 'Futuramic'. 1948 was also the year, the company offered the prewar styled cars for the last time. - It then brought the new styling to its smaller B-bodies in 1949.

Oldsmobile abandoned the Futuramic tag after only one year.
