The 1950 Oldsmobile Station Wagon is a full-size car. Oldsmobile produced them from 1949. It carries the '88' style badge. This style was the division's top-selling type in 1950. The 1950 Station Wagon, however, is very rare.
Oldsmobile used a large number of variations in names over this long model run: Futuramic, Super, Golden Rocket, Dynamic.. and on it goes.
History
The entry-level models such as the 88 and Dynamic 88 became very popular. During the early years (until 1951), the 88 series was also an image leader for the company. Back then it was one of the best performing automobiles because the advanced overhead-valve high-compression V8 'Rocket' engine.
The 88 Station Wagon was introduced as an all-steel station wagon in the US in 1950. Cars of the style '88' very popular for both good performance and reliability. - Notable, only the interior shows woodwork. Also this car has the new 'Rocket' engines - which is used in all '88' types.
Note the good shape of the wood. Often the old wood is decayed or rotten beyond repair, but it is not a problem on this car. The 1950 year at Oldsmobile: Styling changes included the replacement of a two-piece windshield with a one-piece unit (this car doesn't have it yet). Olds also added the Holiday hardtop coupe to the line.

1950 Oldsmobile Station Wagon, series '88'.It is definitely a rare car in a good, restorable condition. Has the original 303 'Rocket' engine with Hydramatic transmission, and the motor is turning freely. The radiator is missing. Besides that, the car is very complete. Unfortunately both windshields and the left door window are missing. The rear bumper is bent. The taillights still functions when opening or closing the tailgate. The tailight lenses are available and not damaged. Car has a clear title. Original bumper jack and a pair of fender skirts go with the car.
