A music performance of Finnish rock band 'Sunrise Avenue' features this turquoise 1965 Buick Special.
Somewhere in a dry environment:
The manufacturer redesigned the Buick Special for the 1964 model year with a separate body-on-frame construction. Buick marketed it as an intermediate-sized car. (It expanded the Skylark to a full top-line series that now included two- and four-door sedans, two-door hardtop coupe and convertible, along with a station wagon.) The other series models consisted of the base Special and the fancier Special Deluxe. They came in a more limited range of body-styles. New for 1964 were the engines: Capacity of the V6 engine was increased from 198 to 225 cui. The aluminum V8 was replaced by a new cast iron-block 300 cui V8. In 1965, cast iron heads replaced the aluminum version which had caused problems. The engine turned out very reliable. It was roduced until 1967.
